Yes, I’m still here 😛 and still knitting, what’s more! It seems like all I want to do lately when I’m not at work is take naps. However, I thought I would at least drop by to show you my latest knitting obsession. Self-striping shawl yarn from Caterpillargreen Yarns. It’s not released yet, but soon, and I was lucky enough to be one of her test knitters. I have it in the lovely G Biv colorway, and I “just one more row”-ed myself until shockingly late on Saturday night. I am working on a version of the Boneyard shawl by Stephen West but I’m doing the purl ridges more often to delineate the color shifts. It is way too fun!

    So pretty

  2. The colors are drool worthy!

    • I would have a sweater in each of these colors. It’s basically all my favorites in one place!

  3. Beautiful and your extra ridges accentuate the colour changes perfectly!

    • Thanks! I can’t claim credit for the idea, I saw someone else doing it and copied them 😛

      • No harm in that 😉

  4. Love purl ridges. The colors are so pretty.

    • Thanks! I told her that blue, green, and purple were my favorite colors, and she sent me this lushness 🙂

      • Blue and purple are my favorites too.

  5. Fay

    I’m loving your shawl!:)

    • Shawls are my new favorite accessory! Thanks for the kind words 🙂

  6. umm, AMAZING. i now want a shawl. i have never wanted a shawl before.

    • You neeeeeeed a shaaaaaawlllll… 😛 Seriously though, I always thought that shawls were an old lady thing, but I wear them like scarves and they are awesome sauce! (especially for cold offices)

  7. You are so creative….love seeing what you love! We are settled in our new home….come see us! We love and miss you……

  8. Gorgeous! Do the even color breaks only work with certain patterns?

    • It has to be a triangular shawl where you increase four stitches every two rows, but that’s most triangular shawls so it’s not exactly a trial 😛

  9. That’s really nice – I love the colours!

    • Thanks! I can’t wait to wear it.

  10. Ooh, napping sounds fun…I’ve replaced sleep with coffee but it seems to be losing it’s wakeful powers over me. Self-striping shawl yarn…looks amazing!

    • Coffee can only be used to replace sleep up to a point 😛 I have explored to the full it’s possibilities in that regard! I love how the yarn does all the work for me and makes it look like I’m doing something super fancy.

  11. Nika

Very pretty shawl in progress! You shouldn’t enable us like this 😀

    • I can’t help it! I’m enabling myself too, I want one in every single one of her colors.
