I miss the blog!!!!

Hello bloggy friends!

I have read all of your comments on the last post. It has entirely warmed the cockles of my heart to hear all of your kind words of support. It definitely has cheered me in what has been a pretty tough time. I don’t have much to report as yet, but I have a job interview next week for which I will ask you all to send out positive thoughts and vibes into the universe. I’ll let you know how it goes once I know myself πŸ™‚

Another thing I realized after my last post is that I can’t stop writing the blog entirely. I do need to slow down so that I can focus on more important things, like feeding and housing myself. However, this blog has been a massive, crazy, fun endeavor, and I’ve been doing it for almost a year now! I think it’s awesome to look back and know that you’ve been working on something bit by bit for a year, and to see how it has grown and improved you. You guys are all awesome, and I want you to know that writing this blog has definitely helped me as I’ve sortof eased into adulthood. (I’m still just 22, so there’s a fair way left to go on that at least.) It’s nice to feel that there’s a place where you and all your odd hobbies belong, even if that place is the internet πŸ˜› I’m going to allow myself to blog at least once a week, because otherwise I will be too sad. I’ll miss you all too much without it!

So I wanted to say thanks guys. I am still alive, and I’m still knitting and spinning! Here’s proof.

That’s four ounces of fat, smooshy, Blue Faced Leicester that I bought as roving from Mind’s Eye Yarns in Cambridge, and that will (eventually) be a birthday present for my Mom! (her birthday might’ve been in May..) But she lives in Texas, so it’s still too hot for her to wear something made out of bulky weight yarn. I purposefully spun this a bit unevenly so as to give it a lot of texture, and I will eventually turn it into a nice warm cowl to snuggle about the neck in a friendly manner. It also matches these mittens that I made her for Christmas last year.

Closeup for maximum squoosh:

I think she’s going to like it.

The moral of the story? Befriend a knitter. By the time winter rolls around, you will be warm.

  1. Here is to positive thoughts and vibes! Winter is coming – I say this when it is 93 in Ohio right now – but it is always good to befriend a knitter :p

  2. Sending positive vibes and wishes to you from across the pond, ready for your interview! xxx

That yarn is beautiful! You are a very talented spinner πŸ™‚

  3. Good vibed coming your way!Good luck!

  4. Bet

May good fortune and joy come your way! Good luck with the interview!

  5. Smooshy! Excellent description! I love how you are focusing on the positive. It’s something I’m always working on!

  6. Beautiful spinning ! Warm thought and positive vibes coming your way πŸ™‚
