A funny thing happened the other day..
It’s Christmas knitting time, so I have been visiting the yarn store approximately twice a week. This is significantly more often than is normal for me, but at the moment is entirely necessary. A few days ago, I went to the yarn store to get even MORE Ultra Alpaca for my little brother’s Christmas hat. (I might’ve also gotten myself a little present as motivation to FINISH ALL THE THINGS) When I went up to the checkout, the girl who works there had kindof a funny look on her face. Then we had the following conversation.
“I’m sorry, I just have to ask. You’re here all the time. What do you do with all the yarn you buy?”
A bit confused by the question, I replied (very eloquently) “Um, I make things with it?”
She looked at me with awe (and also probably fear) and asked “How much do you knit???”
and I had no response but to duck my head and blush and mumble something about Christmas. I just got shamed by a yarn store employee. Instead of rethinking my life and priorities, I’m just going to go knit more. *whistles*
