Lolly and the socks take a trip to the park.
Today was a pretty nice day. It was a bit nippy, but the sun was shining, the birds were singing, and the squirrels were frolicking in the park. The socks were tired (they said) of being indoors due to the bad weather, so the three of us went on an outing, where I attempted to snap some photos.
First the socks climbed on the jungle gym.
Then the socks rode the slide, together of course.
Then the socks sat on this leaf boat thing. At this point, the socks got tired of my taking pictures and started to complain.
First they whined about the swing, saying that this kind of swing was “for babies” and that they didn’t want any of their friends to see them sitting in it.
Then they complained that the rock was too hard and they were sick of pictures and WASN’T I DONE ALREADY??
The socks rode the slide again (attempting to escape me, I’m sure) but this time I caught them at the bottom.
From the pirate thing, the socks whined about how I should be done taking pictures. I took a line from my mom’s book, and told them “I brought you into this world, and I can take you out of it! Cross me and you’ll just be a pile of wool again.” (My mom doesn’t actually say that last part) Which allowed me to get..
One more picture.
The socks gave me a lot of attitude, but in general behaved themselves for the pictures. Don’t they look nice?
